Sri lanka is an island country in the northern Indian Ocean in South Asia. The capital of Sri Lanka is Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte. Colombo is the commercial city. Total area is 65610Km². Sri Lanka has 20 million population. His Excellency Mahinda Rajapakse is the president of Sri Lanka from 2005.

History of Sri Lanka

Documented history of Sri Lanka has spans three thousand years. Wijaya was the first king of Sri Lanka who came here from India. Last king was Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe.

Sri Lanka's first kindom is Anuradhapura city which is in the North central province. After that Polonnaruwa, Dambadeniya, Yapahuwa, Kotte and Mahanuwara (Kandy) cities were also change in time to time as kindom of Sri Lanka.
